Dr. K.C. Srivastava : A Personality of Sublimity

Born in a cultured family, Dr. Kailash Chandra Srivastava is a symbol of perfection, a rare combination of wisdom, knowledge Practicability and refinement of personality. His contribution in the enrichment of education with Vedic Virtues and values is valuable. His acumen has ever enabled him to create history, which now acts as a model in academics. His utmost believes in practice more than theory has really transformed the ideas into reality.

Serving DAV School since 1990 as a Principal, Dr. K.C. Srivastava has ever engaged in quest of attaining excellence in academics and his painstaking efforts in channelizing the systematic delivery of content and encouraging feedback on the progress made have been praiseworthy. His inspiring journey as Principal from 1990 to 2018 speaks of his hard work and determination. His discipline and integrity is reflected in his day-to-day life.

Having taken the DAV School, Koyla Nagar to a position of repute and respect in a commendable fashion within an appreciably short span of time, DAV College Managing Committee (New Delhi) entrusted him with dubious responsibility of Regional Directorship in the year 2012. Under the dynamic mentorship of Dr. K. C. Srivastava, the achievement made by the students have ushered in a balmy breeze of satisfaction for the school. His accomplishments have ever shaped and sharpened the vision and reason and enabled the school to lead from the front setting even when the going is not good.

Entrusted with the mammoth responsibility of nurturing talents beyond the boundaries of academics and carrying the yoke of producing ideal citizens, Dr. K.C. Srivastava has recently been awarded ‘Academic Excellence Award’ by Hon’ble Smt. Mridula Sinha, Governor (Goa) on the occasion of “College to Campus Summit – 2017” held in Goa. Besides this, he has also been conferred “CBSE Merit Award” by Hon’ble Shree Kapil Sibbal, former Central educational minister of India. DAV organization has also honored him with “Mahatma Hansraj Award and Teacher Merit Award have also been conferred to him as a teacher in Sainik School for the highest virtues of knowledge, integrity, discipline, diligence, dedication and commitment towards excellence.

Now, his move as Regional Director (Dhanbad Zone) is inspiring and exciting but challenging as well. His only self-reliance has ever guided him to navigate the ship of excellence in the troubled waters of education. His conviction is yet to deliver as per the expectation of DAV management in the field of education. As Regional director, he follows the structure line of actions to help schools pursue the path which fits them best. The strategies are clearly reflected in his vision and mission. He is now ready to discover and engage in shaping DAV as brand and turning the dream of Padmashree Punam Suri, President (DAV CMC, New Delhi) into a reality. He believes that “the road to glory is often the road less travelled”.
